Frequently Asked Questions
How are you COVID safe? The service is carried out in accordance with current Government guidelines. A risk assessment is carried out at each property before work commences and is reviewed whenever there are changes to the property, to the occupants or to the Government guidelines. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn where appropriate.
What area do you cover? Okehampton (Devon) and the surrounding area.
What do you charge? A set rate of £12.50 per hour (unless otherwise quoted). No agency fee, cancellation fee or separate mileage cost! Payment is due on the day. Cash is accepted but bank transaction is preferable.
Do you use your own products? I use the clients own products and equipment excluding PPE, unless agreed otherwise in advance. Only products with Safety Data Sheets (available online or from the manufacturer) can be used and not home made products. Electrical equipment should meet the UK Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016. If any work at height is requested (such as cleaning the tops of cupboards) then notice is required and I will provide my own ladder.
When do you work? I work Monday to Friday daytime. Weekends can be considered.
Do you mind pets? Not at all!
What do you cover in your service? This is something we will discuss during our first meeting. You can book me for a regular weekly or fortnightly clean with a set time (usually for 2, 3 or 4 hours), in which I focus on the main areas of the property (including skirting boards and windowsills) and then use any remaining time to carry out tasks such as cleaning the windows on the inside; emptying waste bins, topping up the toilet rolls, watering the houseplants. I am happy to help with grocery shopping, food preparation, changing the bedding, laundry, ironing, even feeding pets! Alternatively I can quote for a one off deep clean, which would usually include the tops of cabinets, underneath and behind moveable furniture (such as sofas), inside fridge freezers and cooking appliances.
Claire is fantastic; she works quickly and does a great job! She's saved me so much stress in the time that she's been coming to me! To top it all off, she's an absolute pleasure to have around...I can't recommend her enough!
